Opinions by A, Not completely satisfied I have done digital interviews in the past so this wasn’t my first run. But it was my first time using this app. I don’t like the fact that there wasn’t a way to record answers again or pause to give more time to think how you want your answers to be delivered.

In my previous experience I was able to do that. I had an unlimited amount of times to re-record and to start over. If I didn’t like the way the answer was going I could easily delete and record again. I was even able to play and watch how I answered my questions to see how it was done and delete and start over if I needed to.

This app didn’t offer any of those options except a practice run of questions that weren’t even questions that were asked in the interview. I gave it 4 stars because it still gave me access to do this on my device and record answers and submit my interview digitally. But such an overall disappointment because I don’t think it allows candidates to showcase who they really are.

Press Pause Then Play, Authentic Format While I agree with the assessment that it would be nice to be able to pause the practice questions, the reality is that the actual video interview does not have that option. I appreciated the fact that the practice format was in direct correlation to the video interview itself. While the questions were not the same, they followed the same process - set time to read the question & a set time to answer the question. The entire experience was about as authentic as a live interview.

There’s no option to unsay what you’ve said. And in reality you don’t generally have 30secs to answer a question when you’re sitting in front of a panel of interviewers. However, since you have to read the question, it gives time to read it and begin formulating a response. The last thing I will mention is that the practice questions come back around, so you’ll have the opportunity to start fresh on them, but you can’t unscramble eggs. Midwest mac user, Works as advertised, but. In my opinion, this is a terrible way to screen candidates for a job (I work in healthcare, and healthcare is nothing if not face-to-face interaction between caregiver and patient). This app strips away all the non-verbal human interactions between job candidate and employer, leaving the candidate to wonder what is on the other side of the camera (this is not a videoconferencing app, you are simply recording your interview to a camera). In a face-to-face interview, the interviewer represents the company to which you are applying, and you can glean some idea of the corporate culture by your interactions. With this app, you are left to flounder about with no eye contact or non-verbal cues to gauge their interest during the interview process.

Both employer and candidate could lose out on a good working relationship because an otherwise great candidate is someone who is not a natural in front of a camera. Four stars for an app that works as advertised, but a misapplication of technology. Midwest mac user, Works as advertised, but. Post Views: 836 A third candidate release (“RC3”) of WSJT-X 2.0 is now available for download and use by beta testers. WSJT-X 2.0 is a major upgrade to WSJT. Candidate releases are intended for beta testers: individuals interested in testing the program’s new features and providing feedback to the WSJT Development Group. At the time of this release they have not yet completed the WSJT-X 2.0 User Guide.

Potential users of the candidate release should read before proceeding. Installation instructions for version 2.0.3 can be found in the User Guide. Version 2.0.0-rc3 for OS X 10.9 and later can be downloaded here: Changes in RC3 relative to RC2 include the following: 1 Improved SNR calculation for FT8 2 Test grid4 (not grid6) for matches in ADIF log 3 Auto-generate 77-bit messages for callsigns with /R or /P 4 Fix auto-sequencing for “CQ ABC ”, “CQ ABCD ”, etc.

Support for new exchanges should expand the ability of contesters to use FT8 and other WSJT-X protocols during contests that allow digital contacts and where the exchanges is a traditional signal report and state/province/country. According to the release notes, WSJT-S 2.0 also offers “significantly better sensitivity” (about 1 dB) for the WSPR decoder. In addition, color highlighting of decoded messages provides worked-before status for call signs, grid locators, and DXCC entities on a by-band basis. Color highlighting can also identify stations that have — or have not — uploaded their logs to “Logbook of The World” (LoTW) within the past year. For the convenience of beta-testers, the –rc1 and –rc2 releases will offer receive and transmit capability for both the new FT8 protocol and the older one. Starting with –rc3 and the full release of WSJT-X 2.0, only the new protocol will be supported. In contrast, the new MSK144 protocol replaces the old one from the outset, with no backward compatibility. Those participating in WSJT-X beta tests are expected to their experiences to the developers and upgrade to the general availability release when it becomes available.
